The "Documents after 1944" collection was established in 1975 and contains over 6000 fund units.
According to the information they carry, they are grouped into several sections: documents on the economic development of the country, on political history, on culture, science and education, documents on individual individuals - politicians and public figures, scientific and cultural figures, sports figures, etc.

Among the documents related to the economic development of the NRB are reports of production teams, work characteristics and resumes, production and personal plans, contracts for socialist competition, appeals-promises, letters, etc. of labor brigades and collectives from various construction sites of national and regional importance - metallurgical plant "Lenin" - Pernik (1953), NPP "Kozloduy" (1973-1974), mines "Marbas" (1976), national youth "Devnia" site - chemical plant (1972), nitrogen fertilizer plant in Dimitrovgrad (1972 - 1976), "Maritsa-Iztok" mine (1970 - 1975), ferry complex "Varna-Ilichovsk" (1978), "Anton Ivanov" machine-building plant - Plovdiv (1975) and others. Information bulletins, leaflets and advertising publications for the Plovdiv Fair (1975-1980) are kept in the collection.

The collection contains documents of politicians such as Prof. Mihail Genovski, Prof. Stancho Cholakov, Georgi Andreychin, Prof. Vladimir Topencharov, Solomon Passi, etc., of prominent Bulgarian scientists such as Prof. Hristo Vakarelski and Prof. Kuyo Kuev, of the artists Vladimir Dimitrov-Maistora, Ivan and Ekaterina Nenovi, to the "father" of Bulgarian cinema Vasil Gendov and his wife Zhana Gendova, to the artist Konstantin Kisimov, to the poet Elisaveta Bagryana, to the opera singers Elisaveta Iolovich and Gena Dimitrova, to the folk singer Valkana Stoyanova, etc. .
