Violeta Nesheva was born on April 4, 1943 in the city of Sofia. Even as a little girl, she lost her parents - her mother forever, and her father "disappeared without a trace" in the Stalinist camps in Siberia.
She grew up in her mother's family, where even then she decided what she would do in the future. And this is archeology and history. A number of Bulgarian scientists, including Prof. Dimitar Ovcharov, Academician Ivan Duichev, Prof. Vasilka Tapkova-Zaimova, Prof. Todor Gerasimov, Prof. Vasilka Gerasimova, Assoc. Dr. Margarita Vaklinova, had a beneficial influence and support in her scientific growth.
Over the years, Violeta Nesheva has participated in the teams of a number of archaeological sites, in the old Bulgarian capitals - Pliska, Preslav, Veliko Tarnovo, in Cherven, Kyulevcha, Karasura, Ratsiaria and countless others. The most important merit of Violeta Nesheva is her long-term work in Melnik, which is one of the best-studied medieval towns in Bulgaria.
He is the author of over 150 scientific works - reports, articles, studies, monographs. Violeta Nesheva also develops significant museum activity both in NAIM and NIM, as well as in museums in the country - Blagoevgrad, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Ruse, Varna and many more.
