Vera Atanasova, PhD

Vera Atanasova holds a PhD in History from the University of Lorraine, a graduate of the Ecole du Louvre (Paris) and the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Lyon).
Her work at the Museum of Religious Art at the Fourviere Basilica (Lyon, France) and the Louvre Museum contributed to her formation as a museum specialist.

Her scientific interests are in the field of medieval visual culture, power representations, miniatures in written sources, the history of religions, Christian culture.
Participates in a number of conferences, projects and activities related to the study, conservation, preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage.
