Department "History of Bulgaria during the Middle Ages" of the National History Museum mourns the tragic death of Assoc. Dr. MARGARITA DEYANOVA-VAKLINOVA, who died on April 5, 2023 in Sofia
There are irreplaceable people, and she, associate professor Margarita Vaklinova, was one of them!
One of the brightest researchers of medieval Bulgarian culture. For more than six decades, she has been the head of the studies of the most significant archaeological monuments in the country, including the medieval Bulgarian capitals. She also carried out a complete survey of the Patriarchal Cathedral in Veliki Preslav. He is the author of dozens of publications on various problems of medieval culture, of permanent and temporary expositions in a number of museums and exhibitions abroad, of texts in encyclopedias and catalogs.
Since the creation of the National History Museum, Associate Professor Margarita Vaklinova has been an associate and consultant. She is one of the creators of the first exposition, which is why she enjoyed our deep respect. And for the last successful renovation of the medieval hall of the museum she has outstanding merits. Always amiable, energetic, competent Assoc. Vaklinova with a sincere desire to help our team with whatever was necessary in the busy museum work!
Farewell and eternal memory to colleague and person Margarita Vaklinova.
