1978 – Durankulak excavations

In the period 1978-1998, NIM co-financed the research in the archaeological reserve of the Big Island, the village of Durankulak. Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Bronze Age settlements and necropolises have been studied; rock temple of the goddess Cybele and an old Bulgarian settlement from the XNUMXth - XNUMXth centuries. The National History Museum receives exhibits of high museum value.
