From Bhutan, the squad heads to the large Bulgarian village of Borovan, repelling the attacks of Circassian groups that attack them out of the blue. The hope that a group of insurgents would join the detachment in Borovan turns out to be in vain. Nikola Obretenov remembers that only one woman brought them water. Chetniks do not blink all night and leave the village exhausted.
